Two special remeberances...

This past Sunday, two special days were celebrated.

  • It was International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Here is  video about the persecuted church:

There are things you can do to help persecuted Christians:
  1. First and foremost is to pray for restricted nations.
  2. Visit http://www.persecution.com/ to learn more about the persecuted church. They have several ministries you can get involved in or you can donate.
  3. Send Christians who are in prison for Christ letters from you and your family.
  4. Send Bibles to those who need them!
  5. Send an action pack to a restricted nation- providing things like blankets, clothes, etc.
The Voice of the Martyrs conducts this and several other ministries for the persecuted church. When you visit their website be sure to request a free copy of the book Tortured for Christ. Also, sign up for their free Voice of the Martyrs magazine and their kid's magazine, Kids of Courage.

    • Sunday was also National Adoption Day.

What can you do for orphans?:
    1. Pray for the orphans.
    2. You can adopt a child.
    3. You can give to a Christian adoption ministry.
Here is Steven Curtis Chapman singing a song on behalf of the orphaned:
